Terms and conditions

These terms apply when you use our website, join the letter club, buy a past letter or enter the monthly letter draw. A Soulful Reminder is run by Saxon Kent from Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia. By placing an order or entering the draw, you agree to these terms.

1. The letter club

A Soulful Reminder is a monthly letter club. Each letter includes a written story, an original photograph and a small gift chosen for that month. The exact contents change from month to month, and photos on our website are a guide to the style of each letter.

2. Plans and payment

We offer monthly, 3 month and 12 month plans. Prices are shown on our website in US dollars and include worldwide shipping.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe at checkout.
Monthly plans are billed each month until you cancel.
3 month and 12 month plans are paid upfront for the full term.
3 month and 12 month plans renew automatically at the end of each term at the current price unless you cancel before the renewal date.
We may change our prices in the future. Any change will not affect a term you have already paid for, and we will let you know before a new price applies to your plan.

3. Monthly cutoff and dispatch

Join before the 20th of the month to be included in that month's letter.
Letters are dispatched within a few days after the 20th, and most arrive in the first week of the following month. International delivery may take longer.
Every letter is posted from Byron Bay, Australia.
If you join after the 20th, your first letter will be the following month's letter.

4. Shipping and your address

We ship worldwide, and shipping is included in every plan.
Please make sure your shipping address is correct and complete. If you move, update your address with us before the 20th so your next letter goes to the right place.
We are not responsible for letters sent to an incorrect address you provided.
Delivery times are estimates and depend on postal services, which are outside our control.

5. Gifts

You can send a letter or plan as a gift by entering your friend's name and address at checkout. You are responsible for making sure the gift details are correct and that you have permission to share your friend's address with us.

6. Cancelling

Monthly members can cancel anytime through Stripe or by messaging us. Cancelling stops future payments. Any letter you have already paid for will still be sent.
3 month and 12 month plans are paid upfront for the full term. You can stop a plan from renewing at any time.
To receive your upcoming letter, cancel after that month's dispatch date.

7. Past letters

Past letters are one off purchases. Buying a past letter does not start a subscription and does not renew. Past letters are available while stock lasts.

8. Monthly letter draw

Each month we run a free draw for one free letter.
To enter, submit your email address through our website. Entry is free and no purchase is needed.
Each email address receives one entry per draw. Active letter club members receive three entries per draw.
The winner is drawn at random on the 20th of the month and will be contacted by email. If the winner does not respond within 14 days, we may draw a new winner.
The prize is one free letter, posted to the winner's address. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash.
By entering, you agree to receive emails from A Soulful Reminder. You can unsubscribe at any time.
We may change or cancel a draw if something outside our control affects it.

9. Our content

All photographs, writing, artwork and designs on our website and in our letters belong to Saxon Kent and A Soulful Reminder. You are welcome to share photos of your letters on social media, but please do not copy, sell or reproduce our work for commercial purposes without permission.

10. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other consumer protection law that applies to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect loss arising from your use of our website or products. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
